Julie Cank met the year-old man at her unit at Calderstones Hospital in Whalley, Lancashire and began the relationship after he was discharged. The year-old has been ordered not to work for 18 months after a fitness to practise hearing was told there was a risk of repetition.

Rebecca Bayliss, 29, met the man on her ward when he was receiving treatment for cystic fibrosis while on the donor waiting list. Perception of nursing professionals on sexuality in people with mental disorders. Data were collected through interviews with 7 nurses and 11 nursing assistants using a semistructured questionnaire and two analyses of daily situations. RESULTS: Testimonials revealed that nursing professionals perceived sexuality as sexual orientation, sexual role, or a manifestation disorder. Discipline and surveillance were the techniques used to control sexual behavior in the hospital environment.
